According to FOX5, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department investigators say the crash happened around 3 a.m., as the pedestrian crossed in a marked crosswalk against the signal. The outlet reports the dark SUV was heading westbound in the left travel lane when it struck the pedestrian, throwing the victim onto the roadway. The driver did not stay at the scene, and Metro’s Collision Investigation Section is now handling the case.
