LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Clark County School District Police Department made about 14,300 stops and issued more than 10,000 citations this school year amid a high number of students being hit by cars, according to data obtained by 8 News Now.
As of the first week of April, CCSDPD reported 322 students were hit by vehicles in school zones.
“We take it personal when a kid gets hurt, when someone gets hurt,” CCSDPD Lt. Michael Campbell said.
