Pedestrian critically injured after running into traffic on East Flamingo Road, LVMPD says

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a car Saturday morning on East Flamingo Road, according to Las Vegas police.

The crash happened around 9:46 a.m. May 9 on East Flamingo Road west of South Maryland Parkway, police said. The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she remains.

LVMPD said evidence at the scene, video surveillance, and a witness statement indicate the pedestrian was running southbound across East Flamingo Road west of the intersection and was not in a marked or implied crosswalk. Police said the pedestrian ran in front of an RTC bus that was stopped facing westbound at a bus stop along the north curb west of the intersection…
