Henderson, Nev. — Memorial Day festivities came to a standstill Saturday night in Lake Las Vegas after an allegedly impaired golf cart driver struck multiple people at high speed, according to Henderson Police.
The golf cart, which appeared to weigh over 900 lbs., was seen by eyewitnesses speeding down the cobblestone pathway around 8 p.m. during a crowded Memorial Day weekend event and striking multiple people. One person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries and two others refused medical transport, according to documents obtained by 8 News Now.
Kendra Daniels, public relations for The Village at Lake Las Vegas, said she was on stage with another performer, Zowie Bowie, for the summer concert series when they heard some commotion.
