The World Cup is almost upon us, and Miami is gearing up to welcome global fans and one of Latin music’s biggest stars to get the party started! Colombian hitmaker Carlos Vives will headline a free opening night celebration on the sands of South Beach on Thursday, June 11.
Taking place right on the beach at 10th Street and Ocean Drive, the official FIFA World Cup 2026 Kickoff Watch Party and Concert will feature giant screens to broadcast the ceremonies and opening match between Mexico and South Africa.
Later that night, the “Fruta Fresca” singer will perform his most iconic songs, just weeks after wrapping up the Miami stop of his “Tour Al Sol” at the Kaseya Center in May.
What to know about the kickoff celebration
Doors to the event will open at 2 p.m., transforming the shoreline into a lively sports hub. Here’s what to expect and when:

- 6 p.m.: High-energy set by DJ Cassidy
- 7 p.m.: Live beachfront concert by Carlos Vives
