The Doral City Council has approved the construction of a new headquarters for the city’s Police Department, citing that current facilities have reached capacity as the force has grown significantly in recent years.
According to figures presented during the council meeting, in 2013 the Doral Police Department had 101 sworn officers and 39 administrative employees.
