Afternoon Heat and Winds

As the sun breaks through, highs are expected to climb into the upper 80s, close to 87°F across the metro, with inland spots likely running a bit hotter. South winds of 5 to 14 mph, with gusts near 18 mph this afternoon, will add some breeze but not much real cooling.
