HONOLULU (KHON2) — Seniors at Waianae High School are receiving their diplomas Friday night. But for one family, it’s a celebration not only for a major accomplishment, but for a loved one’s life.
Maikah Hampp-Iriarte will be with his fellow graduates at Waianae High School’s ceremony. He may not be there physically, but he’ll be there in spirit.
“This is very important to him,” said Jaysha Hampp-Iriarte, his sister. “This is what he wanted, and because of him, this is why we’re still celebrating and honoring everything that he wanted.”…
