HOUSTON — A powerful piece of 9/11 history made a stop in Houston Sunday as part of a nationwide remembrance tour.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s “Steel Across America Tour” brought a 21-foot, 16,900-pound steel beam recovered from the South Tower of the World Trade Center to Space Center Houston.
The stop is part of a coast-to-coast tour commemorating the upcoming 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. The beam is traveling more than 10,500 miles, making more than 35 stops across 21 states and Washington, D.C., before returning to Ground Zero…
