BELLAIRE, Texas – A routine traffic stop in Bellaire led to the arrest of two individuals wanted on multiple felony warrants and the discovery of personal identifying information belonging to hundreds of potential identity theft victims.
According to the Bellaire Police Department, officers conducted a traffic stop at approximately 8 p.m. on June 1 after observing traffic violations.
The driver, identified as Wendy Meyers, was arrested on outstanding warrants for:
- Possession of Identifying Information (Montgomery County)
- Credit Card Abuse (Harris County)
- Fraud (Guadalupe County)
The passenger, identified as Joel Johnson, was arrested on outstanding warrants for:
- Burglary of a Habitation (Harris County)
- Felony Criminal Mischief (Harris County)
- Aggravated Assault of a Family Member (Harris County)
Johnson also faces a Failure to Identify/Fugitive from Justice charge filed by Bellaire police…
