Houston ranks No. 4 in US for vehicle thefts as Fort Bend family searches for stolen GMC truck

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – A Fort Bend County family is searching for answers after a 17-year-old’s GMC Sierra was stolen from his driveway, one of two similar truck thefts reported in the same area within less than an hour.

The theft comes as new national data shows the Houston metropolitan area remains one of the country’s biggest hot spots for stolen vehicles, despite a significant decline in vehicle thefts nationwide.
