If you have Cigna health insurance and you live in the Houston area, you have three days to pay attention.
HCA Houston Healthcare — one of the largest hospital systems in the city — and Cigna have not reached a new contract agreement. Their existing contract expired September 30. Both sides agreed to a short extension through October 8 to keep talking, but as of today, no deal has been announced.
If October 8 passes without an agreement, 13 HCA Houston hospitals, 9 outpatient surgery centers, and 11 freestanding emergency centers go out of network for Cigna members…
