Warning to check lottery tickets as $1 million Powerball prize goes unclaimed and ticket was sold at a gas station

A LOTTERY winner in Texas is out there somewhere and they won big in a drawing this past week.

The winning Powerball ticket was sold in Katy, Texas and remains unclaimed.

The lucky ticket holder had a drawing date of Monday, January 29, 2024.

And its winning numbers were 39, 41, 43, 49, 64 and Powerball 4.

Players should note that the quick-pick ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but not the red Powerball.

According to the Texas Lottery, the ticket was sold at the Cinco Ranch Express at 2950 South Mason Road.

The Texas winner must claim their prize no later than 180 days after the date of the drawing.

The next lottery drawing is Wednesday, February 3 with an estimated annuitized jackpot of $188 million.

Playing the lottery might seem like all fun and games, but it can be risky.
