HOUSTON, Texas (KBTX) – Wednesday morning, the hallways of Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston were silent, save for the squeak of a hospital bed wheel and the sniffs of those lining the way.
Nurses, doctors, family, friends, even strangers who had followed the story of a 17-year-old girl from Midway, lined the hallway, more than 60 in total, bowing their heads as Chloe Rae McLain was escorted toward the operating room.
