HUNGINTON BEACH, CA — Law enforcement officers arrested three individuals and impounded multiple mini-motorcycles, also known as pocket bikes, following reports of a large group of pocket bikes driving recklessly through city streets.
The Huntington Beach Police Department dispatched officers after receiving multiple calls for service regarding the group. While several riders fled the area upon police arrival, officers detained two juveniles on pocket bikes alongside their mother. Authorities arrested the mother on suspicion of child endangerment for allowing the minors to engage in dangerous driving behavior.
During the response, officers took an adult male into custody for reckless driving and driving with a suspended license after he fell from his vehicle. As the investigation continued, a third adult—the father of another juvenile who arrived at the scene—was arrested on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor for encouraging the reckless activity…
