Renowned Laguna Beach chef Rainer Schwarz died in a solo car collision in Dana Point on Monday, April 6. He was 59.
Schwarz was driving an Audi on Crown Valley Parkway near Pacific Coast Highway about 4:50 p.m. on April 6, when the vehicle veered off the roadway, traveled through landscaping and came to rest in a parking lot, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Sgt. Gerard McCann. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials working on the case have not announced what caused the crash, which remains under investigation…
