A few strong to severe storms to start the week off. We will be watching two thunderstorm complex dive south throughout the day that could bring gusty winds, hail, and heavy rain with them. After today we will finally start to see a break in the rain for the rest of the week.
Out the door this morning is mild with temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s. A couple of areas of patchy fog as well so use caution if you’re driving during the morning hours. By early afternoon, a few lines of showers and storms will push through the Tennessee Valley some of the storms could be on the stronger side.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed some of the Tennessee Valley under a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe weather. The rest of the area is under a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) The main threats will be damaging winds (50+ mph), frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall. Highs today will be in the middle 80s…
