REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. (WHNT) — Redstone Arsenal says that it is preparing to reopen Gate 3 on weekdays to help with the early morning commute.
The Arsenal said Gate 3 on Redstone Road will reopen on July 10 for inbound and outbound traffic during the mornings.

Specifically, the installation said the gate will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday. Redstone said Gate 3 had been closed since Monday due to a shortage of personnel to guard it.
Restone Officials also gave the following list of gate hours:
- Gate 1 (Martin Road East): 5:30 a.m. Normal operations for inbound and outbound traffic daily (Monday through Friday) until 1:30 p.m. Then outbound only from 1:30-9 p.m.
- Gate 7 (Martin Road West): 5:30 Normal operations for inbound and outbound traffic daily (Monday through Friday) until 1:30 p.m. Then outbound only from 1:30-9 p.m.
- Gate 8 (Goss Road): 5:30 a.m. – 9 p.m. weekends and holidays only.
- Gate 9 (Rideout Road): open 24/7, 365 days a year.
- Gate 10 (Patton Road): 5:30 a.m. – 9 p.m., Monday-Friday.
