Madison County Sheriff’s Office warns residents of fraudulent court enforcement scam

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — Authorities in Madison County are warning residents of a scam involving a fraudulent court enforcement notice.

According to the sheriff’s office, a fraudulent notice is being circulated that claims to be an official court document related to traffic violations.

“The document, titled “Final Notice, Court Enforcement Action,” appears to come from the State of Alabama and threatens serious consequences, including license suspension, collections, and court action. It also directs recipients to scan a QR code to view or pay an alleged balance,” said MCSO officials…
