Over 1.7 million Americans urged to avoid fast food drive-thrus

NEARLY two million residents have been urged to avoid drive-thrus and limit common activities after air quality alerts were issued across nearly an entire state.

Ground-level ozone levels are spiking under the hot sunshine, prompting a Code Orange Air Quality Alert for North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad region through midnight Friday as temperatures are forecast to hit 90 degrees.
