One person arrested following cocaine bust in Indiana

INDIANA — An Evansville man was arrested Friday night after a traffic stop led police to discover suspected crack cocaine and marijuana-related products inside his vehicle.

According to Evansville Police, officers stopped a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Desawn Pope shortly after 10 p.m. near North First Avenue and West Illinois Street because it had an inoperable headlight.

When an officer approached the vehicle, police said he detected the odor of burnt marijuana. When asked about it, Pope reportedly told officers he had recently attended a party and that there might be a marijuana “roach clip” inside the vehicle…
