Shots Fly on I-465 as Cops Nab Northeast Indy 20-Year-Old

Indiana State Police say a 20-year-old man is in custody after shots were fired from one vehicle at another on westbound I-465 near Allisonville Road on the city’s northeast side Wednesday evening. No injuries were reported, but troopers say rounds were fired across live traffic.

How investigators tracked the suspect

According to state police, a flurry of 911 calls first alerted troopers to the gunfire. Investigators then turned to cameras that record license plates to help pinpoint the suspect vehicle. With that information in hand, officers obtained a search warrant for a silver Dodge Charger, found the car on Friday and arrested 20-year-old Josiah J. Flowers, according to WIBC.

What happened on the highway
