‘We’ve got to get it replaced’| Church says air conditioning unit stolen from future food pantry

INDIANAPOLIS — A northeast Indianapolis church trying to turn one of its buildings into a food pantry is now trying to replace an air conditioning unit after the pastor said someone stole it during this week’s dangerous heat.

Rev. Annettra Jones, pastor of Scott United Methodist Church, said the theft happened sometime between Wednesday and Thursday at the church’s annex building.

Jones said someone went behind the building, cut cords and hoses and took off with the air conditioning unit…
