INDIANAPOLIS — A person was killed in a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis Sunday morning.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, around 6:30 a.m., emergency dispatchers received a report that indicated a person had stumbled upon a shooting victim while walking in the 3400 block of North Emerson Avenue. Police subsequently responded to the area and located an unresponsive person with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
IMPD reported that the shooting victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators found shell casings scattered around the victim’s body.
Police have only identified the shooting victim as a male. They are still working to determine his exact age…
