INDIANAPOLIS — A woman told police she had to wait until her accused rapist fell asleep before she was able to escape his apartment and run to the emergency room for help.
Cedric Pierre Blount-White, 38, of Indianapolis was arrested on Sunday on preliminary charges of rape, criminal confinement, intimidation, pointing a firearm and possession of a firearm by a serious violent offender.
According to court documents, the victim accused Blount-White of rape, telling police he held her at gunpoint inside his east side apartment and refused to let her leave. The victim was allegedly beaten by Blount-White as well, with a police officer noting her obvious bruising and swelling, and only escaped his alleged confinement by waiting for him to fall asleep.
The alleged assault occurred on Saturday at an apartment located in the 1700 block of N. Ritter Avenue. The victim told police that Blount-White accused her of stealing his money and forced her to strip off her clothes to prove she didn’t have his cash on her.
