INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man was sentenced to 46 years in prison after being convicted of multiple felonies stemming from a police chase that ended with a deadly collision.
On Monday, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Kirk Gibson was found guilty of seven counts of resisting law enforcement resulting in death, a Level 3 felony. He was also found guilty of several other counts of resisting law enforcement and theft.
Gibson was sentenced to a total of 46 years in prison, which includes a 15 year sentence enhancement after pleading guilty to being a habitual offender.
