Neighbors said they heard one gunshot and found the victim dead in the driver’s seat of a car.
A small bouquet of flowers has been laid on the curb on Spring Wind Lane where a 19-year-old young man lost his life.
“This is like a nightmare for our family,” said the victim’s father, Julius Parker Sr.
Julius Parker describes his son, Julius Parker Jr., as athletic and disciplined.
The victim wrestled and played football, but had never been in trouble with the law before he was killed.
“We cannot wrap our heads around it,” said Parker.
Parker graduated last year from Franklin Central High School and was currently enrolled at Ball State.
The Franklin Central Flashes wrestling team posted about the loss on Facebook and praised the teen’s hard work and positive attitude.
