Hamilton Southeastern recalls 6 teachers after RIF notices

FISHERS, Ind. — Hamilton Southeastern Schools says six of the 18 K-6 teachers originally given reduction in force notices have now been recalled.

That means 12 teachers remain impacted by the reduction in force process.

Superintendent Matt Kegley said the district issued the notices because of declining enrollment. He said HSE hoped retirements and resignations would cover the staffing changes, but that was not enough this year…
