Four local volleyball teams head into CIF-SS playoffs

Two local boys volleyball teams will be at home and two others are on the road Tuesday when the CIF Southern Section playoffs begin.

In brackets announced on Friday, Liberty (24-7) of the Ivy League will play host to Irvine (17-17) in a Division 4 match at 6 p.m.. The Bison finished regular-season play with a 3-1 win over Rancho Verde. Liberty’s leading attacker is Ethan Ford, who has 221 kills this season (a 41.2 kill percentage) and Joseph Bankston, who has 215 kills (36.1).
