Concerns mount over flooding in Jackson as more rain approaches

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Jackson business owner said he’s worried about more heavy rain moving into the metro area, after recent storms left standing water outside of his Bailey Avenue restaurant.

“What I saw the last few days, if the rain is what they say it’s going to be, there’s going to be a pretty deep situation back there. There’s going to be a lot of water out there,” said Roche Jefferson, the owner and CEO of Jefferson’s Grill Restaurant & Catering.

Drivers have to slow down, move over and try to avoid the large puddle. Jefferson said it creates a problem for customers trying to get in and out safely…
