BOLTON, Miss. (WJTV) – An elderly woman died after she was found unresponsive in her garden, according to the Hinds County coroner.
Coroner Jeramiah Howard said the incident happened at the woman’s home on East Madison Street in Bolton. He received a call about the incident around 4:00 p.m. on June 27, 2026.
Howard identified the woman as Martha Van Egmond, 83. He said it’s suspected Egmond died due to heat exposure.
