JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Today: The hot and steamy weather continues as we wrap up this week. Afternoon highs will reach the mid 90s along with the chance for a few stray showers. Most of us will stay dry, however rain chances increase heading into the holiday weekend.
4th of July Weekend: We stay hot and muggy leading into the 4th of July on Saturday. Daily highs will be in the low 90s, but humidity will continue to make it feel like the triple digits. A few isolated showers will be possible again in the afternoon and evening but should dissipate by the evening. Sunday afternoon looks to be a little more wet with better rain chances shaping up for the end of the weekend and leading into early next week…
