JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Governor Tate Reeves announced on Friday that Brad McCullouch will serve as District Attorney for the Seventh Circuit Court District, which covers Hinds County.
The appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of former District Attorney Jody Owens upon his guilty plea in federal court on June 29.
On July 1, McCullouch was appointed to serve as Attorney Pro Tempore (interim) for the Hinds County District Attorney’s Office, to “ensure the uninterrupted operation of the office until the Governor makes an appointment in accordance with Mississippi law.”…
