RANKIN COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) – Residents on Halton Court near Grants Ferry Road in the Castlewoods area say construction on nearby home pads is causing severe flooding that creates safety issues for the neighborhood.
Neighbors told reporters that floodwaters fill multiple driveways every time it rains. One resident said the water originates from two home pads under construction in the area.
Builder confronted at supervisors’ meeting
At a Rankin County Board of Supervisors meeting, supervisors questioned the builder directly about the flooding.
“At the board of supervisors meeting, the supervisors asked the builder, ‘Do you not care that your building is flooding out the residents?’ and he said some vulgar verbiage,” one resident said…
