Woman charged with aggravated assault in Byram shooting

BYRAM, Miss. (WJTV) – A local woman was arrested Friday following a domestic dispute that led to a shooting, according to the Byram Police Department.

Farrie Michell Herron-Hollie, 47, was taken into custody after investigators identified her as the alleged shooter in an incident at her Byram residence on Aug. 21.

Authorities said the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Herron-Hollie and the victim. Following her arrest by the department’s Criminal Investigations Division, Herron-Hollie was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and shooting into a motor vehicle.

Herron-Hollie was transported to the Raymond Detention Center, where she is currently held without bond pending her initial court appearance.
