JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Butterflies By Grace Defined By Faith held a Purple Shine walk Monday evening at Parham Bridges Park in North Jackson to raise awareness of domestic violence.
Survivors and supporters walked together at the event.

Purple balloons and purple gear were among the sights at Monday’s gathering, held during domestic violence awareness month in October.
“There’s no place in society for men to be beating on women and women to be beating on men,” said Marcus Betts, who participated in the walk.
