Officials said 35-year-old Tyler Gorrell may face additional charges as the investigation continues
A Mississippi man was arrested after he allegedly shot and killed his wife on Saturday.
Brandon police responded to a report of an “accidental death” at around 9 a.m., WLBT reported.
Officers at the scene became suspicious about the actual cause of death. They later determined the victim, 38-year-old Carri Gorrell, appeared to have died from a gunshot wound.
Her husband, 35-year-old Tyler Gorrell, was arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and murder.
Officials said Tyler may face additional charges as the investigation continues.
