JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Construction is officially underway on a $55 million apartment complex in Jackson’s Fondren district, marking the third groundbreaking in the neighborhood in 2026 alone.
Community leaders, developers and city, county and state officials gathered Thursday morning behind the Fondren Garage to celebrate the start of The Flats at Fondren, a 234-unit residential development by Birmingham, Alabama-based Arlington Properties.
