‘The public sees who did it’: Council tables ordinance putting moratorium on data centers

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Jackson city leaders are holding off on approving a moratorium on data centers, after a debate over whether the moratorium would be considered a zoning ordinance.

On Tuesday, the City Council tabled the moratorium on a 4-2 vote, following a discussion on whether the city was following proper procedure in passing it.
