City Council committee OKs alcohol sales for North Jacksonville restaurant and sports bar

After action by a City Council committee on April 21, a North Jacksonville breakfast and bar spot is a full City Council vote away from being allowed to sell alcohol.

The Council Land Use and Zoning Committee voted 6-0, with member Rahman Johnson away from the dais, to recommend approval of a zoning exception to allow alcohol sales at Kappuccinos Breakfast & Sports Bar, planned in the Dunns Creek Crossing shopping center at 11257 Alta Drive.

The exception, contained in Ordinance 2026-0211, would allow for on-site sales of alcohol as part of Kappuccinos’ bar buisiness. LUZ approved the ordinance without comment, and it now moves to a full Council vote April 28.
