A man suspected in a murder that happened Wednesday morning is dead after he shot at officers, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
JSO was investigating a shooting around 5:30 a.m. in the 8200 block of Susie Street in which a woman was killed and a man was injured, JSO Undersheriff Shawn Coarsey said.

Coarsey said “almost immediately” a person of interest in that shooting was identified.
