The Hudson County Board of Commissioners corrected a clerical error that nearly doubled the amount of a contract awarded to a vendor, approving a measure adding over $675,000 to make the contract equal to what was entered into the county’s financial system.
The governing body voted 8-0(1) to approve the resolution adding $675,752 to the $474,000 contract with William J. Guarini Inc. to bring it up to the $1,149,752 amount that had previously been record, as only HCV reported.
While the board only initially approved $424,000 for the contract, it was entered into the system in January of 2025 as $1,099,752.
