PLAINWELL, Mich. (WOOD) — Consumers Energy crews are working around the clock to restore power across West Michigan after Wednesday nights storms brought down trees and power lines, leaving more than 125,000 customers in the dark.
For Plainwell resident Tony Sanderson, the damage left behind on his property was unlike anything he has seen in more than four decades living in the area.

“Never in my wildest dreams did I think that this would ever happen,” Sanderson said.
He described the storm as “fast moving” and saw several large trees uprooted behind his home, some bringing down power lines…
