Jo Koy bringing arena-level comedy to Battle Creek casino this fall

FireKeepers Casino Hotel will bring comedian Jo Koy to Battle Creek for a one-night stand-up performance this fall, according to a community announcement.

The show is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at the FireKeepers Event Center, with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. June 27 starting at $59, plus fees, and can be purchased online at firekeeperscasino.com or at the box office in the hotel lobby, according to the announcement.

Jo Koy to headline fall comedy show

Koy has emerged as a prominent figure in stand-up comedy, building a global audience with routines rooted in his upbringing and Filipino heritage. According to the announcement, he has moved from small venues early in his career to selling out arenas and ranking among top-grossing comedians tracked by Pollstar and Billboard.

The comedian continues to work with Netflix under a multi-special agreement. His 2024 special, “Jo Koy: Live From Brooklyn,” filmed at the King’s Theatre, was among the platform’s most-watched comedy releases that year, according to the announcement. Additional specials include “Live From The Los Angeles Forum,” “Comin’ In Hot,” “Live From Seattle,” and “Jo Koy: In His Elements.”

Film and television projects add to Koy’s profile
