PAW PAW, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was arrested Friday morning after placing a backpack with a “suspicious device” inside of a dumpster in Paw Paw, police say.
The Paw Paw Police Department says it was dispatched to East Joseph Street at around 11:39 a.m. after a report of a “suspicious subject placing a backpack into a dumpster.”
Authorities located the backpack when they arrived, where they found the device inside. Officials secured the area and restricted access for people. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Bomb Squad responded to assist with removing the device…
