VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. — The sentencing for a former county court administrator who plead guilty to embezzling over $100,000 is being rescheduled.

Rachel Celeste Lindley, 42, a former Paw Paw resident, began working for Van Buren County as the Specialty Courts Administrator in 2016 before moving into the Trial Court Administrator position in April 2021, managing millions in grants for Van Buren County treatment courts along the way.
As Specialty Courts Administrator, Lindley included new programming such as Sobriety Court, offering specialized treatment and supervision for people charged with operating while intoxicated and a dedicated Family Reunification Court, designed to reunify children with their parents, according to a release from court officials.
