THREE RIVERS, Mich. — The mayor of Three Rivers is hoping for more money in the city’s budget to be allocated to the city’s police department to increase staffing and to raise officer wages.
Mayor Angel Johnston posted a video on YouTube laying out her thoughts. She also posted on Facebook asking for the public’s thoughts on how the budget funding should be divided. Johnston is also encouraging people to show up to a public hearing on the budget May 19.
