MATTAWAN, Mich. — They may have already claimed a conference championship, but that isn’t slowing Mattawan down on the turf anytime soon.
The Wildcats dominated the visiting Pennfield Panthers on Thursday’s rain soaked Senior Night, 19-0, to keep moving towards another hopeful deep playoff run.
Mattawan jumped out to a 6-0 run after the opening quarter of play, getting a hat trick from Zane Roberts in the first six minutes of play. From there, the Wildcats kept the pedal to the medal over the remaining 36 minutes of play to come away with the team’s second shutout of the season.
