Kalamazoo County man who fired gun out car window not guilty of attempted murder

KALAMAZOO, MI — A 22-year-old Kalamazoo County man charged with 10 felonies after shooting a gun across multiple lanes of traffic into a party store parking lot was acquitted of three counts of attempted murder on Tuesday, May 12.

While the most serious charges he faced were dismissed, Rayshawn Heath-Pratcher was still found guilty of discharging a weapon from a motor vehicle and an accompanying felony firearm charge, stemming from a Dec. 12, 2025 incident.
