William H. Dunn Sr., JE Dunn Construction leader, dies at 102

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – William H. Dunn Sr., whose leadership of JE Dunn Construction spanned more than seven decades, died on Sunday at 102.

Dunn, known to many as Mr. Dunn or Bill, led the company for 73 years. Under his leadership, JE Dunn became one of the nation’s top construction firms, the company stated.

Born into the construction business, Dunn started working alongside his father in the early 1940s. He worked summers as a young man before joining the company full-time.

“His philosophy was simple yet profound: ‘It’s important to leave the world in better shape than when you came into it,’” the company said. “His impact extends far beyond the buildings he helped construct. Mr. Dunn was a true believer in the power of giving back. His passion for helping those in need and his unwavering generosity have positively impacted countless lives across Kansas City and beyond.”…
